Media reports about the successful implementation of the cooperation programme with the Islamic University Gaza for the development of gender studies
The three-year cooperation programme (June 2017 - November 2020) between the University of Graz/Sociology of Gender and the Islamic University Gaza Strengthening Higher Eucation Capacities in Palestine for Gender Equality was presented on 28 October 2020 during a press conference at Uni Graz. The daily newspaper Kleine Zeitung published an article "Kooperation zwischen Graz und Gaza: Uni Graz fördert Gleichberechtigung in Palästina" (“Cooperation between Graz and Gaza: Uni Graz supports gender justice in Palestine”) about the project. At the occasion of a similar press conference in Vienna on 20 October 2020, the project coordinator at the Islamic University Gaza, Professor Sanaa Aboudaggga was connected via video conference. She emphazised that through this project gender studies is now anchored in teaching and research at her university. The project was financed by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) within the APPEAR programme (Austrian Partnership Programme in Higher Education and Research).
